Makeup tips for monsoon

Makeup tips for monsoon
Here are a few beauty and makeup tips especially for the monsoon which will keep you cheerful and glowing right through the monsoon season.

* You should learn to wear the right type of clothes. The clothes you choose to wear should not soak up water easily and even if they do they should dry up quickly without losing shape.
* Put away your entire crisp, cool cottons & silks because they not only soak up water avidly but become limp when they dry and lose their crease and shape completely.
* Synthetics like nylon and terylene are ideal for this season because they are crease-resisting, dry up fast & regain their original shape when dry.
* Wear vivid, vibrant colors-glowing turquoise, rich green, deep orange-to beat the grey rainy days.
* Buy a bright raincoat and a matching umbrella to go with it.
* Wear rubber or plastic shoes during this season to prevent your feet from getting wet.
* Following exposure to rain, remove wet shoes immediately on reaching home. Wash your feet thoroughly in warm, soapy water, then rinse in clear water and dry up. Massage them vigorously for five minutes and change to dry shoes.
* Never wear wet shoes again without drying them thoroughly, otherwise you will be vulnerable to a host of diseases ranging from common cold to pneumonia.
* Always keep an extra pair of shoes at your place of work or in your bag so that you can change into them if your shoes get wet. A good way of drying wet shoes quickly is to stuff them lightly with crumpled newspaper, then dry them in the kitchen, away from direct heat of the fire.
* It is a good to message glycerin on your feet every night before going to bed. This will help to keep your feet soft, smooth and free from skin ailments.
* You should avoid using foundation and face cream when going out because rain will wash it off leaving stained lines on the face. Confine yourself to using lipstick, rouge, eyebrow pencil and powder.
* Use lipstick of a deep, vibrant shade & apply a dash, a lip-gloss, to put a glow in your lips. Use rouge sparingly. Blend it carefully into the skin; see that it is a glow of color and not an ugly red spot.
* Pencil your brows in a series of fine lines and never in the form of a curved thick line with one swing of the pencil. The final effect should be a natural looking arch. Finish your makeup with light puff of powder.
* The watchword for hair-do is simplicity. Avoid backcombing and lacquer, intricate buns, curl and waves, because the humidity in air will make your hair limp and ugly within next to no time. Either makes a single plait or a plain bun. Wet hair like wet feet gives rise to a number of diseases. Therefore, to dry hair quickly, buy a portable hair dryer. This will not only dry your hair in a few minutes and give you a well-groomed look even on a very wet day but it will also save the 'doctor's bills'.
* Use an egg mask once a week. Take white of an egg and mix with one teaspoon each of honey and lime juice. Apply over your face and leave for one hour. Then wash off with warm water and splash on cold water.
* If your face has natural tendency towards dryness it will be more obvious during this season. Take the yolk of an egg and mix it with a teaspoon of cream of milk and a few drops of rose water. Apply on the face and neck, leave on for 15 minutes and then wash off.

CLOTHES THAT SUIT YOUR SHAPE

Layout your clothes before putting them on and check the proportions. Juggle jackets, scarves & belts to re-arrange the clothes to get the look you want.

  • Thinner fabrics are more slimming.
  • Tops and bottoms of one color will make you look thinner.
  • Wear clothes that fit.
  • Wearing too large clothes will exaggerate your figure not hide it.
  • Avoid belts unless you have a slim waist.
  • Use accessories carefully.

Shoes depend less on you body shape than you height. Do not buy clothes on impulse. Plan before you buy a blouse or pants. Be somewhat scientific about shopping; consider your body type, and colors. You can make your wardrobe impressive with mix and match jewelry

CLOTHES STYLES AND BODY SHAPES

  • High collars shorten necks.
  • Tight tops with short sleeves and breast pocket is detracting from your figure. Shoes with straps shorten your legs. The torso can be shortened or narrowed with seam lines, belts, bows, and collars.
  • A short necklace can shorten your neck.
  • A scarf or belt that hangs down toward the legs will make the legs appear longer. Knitted texture, lace, floras, prints, and plaids can assist in creating an illusion.
  • Thicker vertical lines in plaids lengthen and slim.
  • Wear a larger print where you want people to look and smaller print where you do not want them to look.
  • An all over print can camouflage figure problems, but prints here and there can create a fuller you.
  • Prints around the neck and over the shoulder can make your shoulders appear wider. Just wear prints near the parts of your figure's assets, because they are usually more eye catching than a solid color.
  • When buying pants be sure they fit well. Defects are emphasized in a pair of pants that may go unnoticed in a skirt.

PETITE WOMEN

  • Petite women need to keep clothes in line, slim narrow belts.
  • A slight contrast in colors and fitted lines will flatter you endlessly. Also stay with fabrics that are soft and flowing that fits well.
  • Over powering prints should be avoided.

  • Tall women can indulge in wide belts; avoid tight clothes and skirts that are to short or to long.
  • Beauty experts recommend, tall women play down their waist by wearing their blouses over the pants and skirts and avoid tight belts.

  • Wear long tops that go passed your hips. Choose jackets, tailored suits and shirtwaist dresses with straight, classic cuts.
  • Lighter colors on top can be worn, this brings eyes up.

  • The top-heavy body types need to choose long jackets without shoulder pads. Do not wear blouses with fancy details and ruffles.

Cosmetic surgery techniques

Cosmetic surgery techniques

Cosmetic surgery has increased dramatically in popularity over the past 10 years. Attitudes have changed as well -- more & more people are turning to cosmetic surgery. It has undergone significant technological & conceptual changes in recent years. The conceptual changes have altered approaches to facial aging, including approaches to the forehead, eyelids, and lower face. Technological changes include the increasing use of the laser for facial cosmetic surgery & minimally invasive techniques for face, breast, and palliative surgeries.

Successful cosmetic surgery won't make a dramatic change in your looks. The old time face lift that rendered women flat faced & void of expression is, thankfully, almost obsolete. If it looks like cosmetic surgery, it's bad cosmetic surgery-period. They all say you look rested or ask if you've changed your make-up. If you are thinking about more than one procedure, it makes sense to have both recovery time. Besides, when you've been through it once, you might not have the nerve to go back.

CHEEK IMPLANTS :-

Women with high cheekbones age well, because the cheekbone helps to anchor the skin that would otherwise sag and fold around the middle of the face. The implants them self are made of hard rubber or plastic that resembles a dental retainer without the wire. They are inserted through an incision inside your mouth or through a cut make a round face more angular and widen a long, narrow face into an oval.

PREPARATION

Try to be well reset and in the best possible health before the surgery . Avoid aspirin and vitamin E for three to four weeks before surgery. Aspirin thins the blood and can cause bleeding after surgery; Vitamin E interferes with clotting and can also cause bleeding.

Healing: Up to 10 days with residual sensitive lasting up to eight weeks.

Downside: The swelling and bruising last 7 to 10 days, and the area around the implant remains sensitive for six to eight weeks. If your face is asymmetrical going into surgery, you'll come out with high cheekbones-but they'll still be asymmetrical.

CHIN IMPLANTS:-

In the infancy of this procedure, living bone or cartilage was grafted over the chin to build up a weak or receding chin. Now that the technique has grown more sophisticated, doctors use the same rubber or plastic used in cheek implants. The chin implant is inserted through an incision in the skin under the chin or through a cut inside the lower lip. The latter obviously, doesn't leave a scar, but some doctors believe there's a greater risk of infection that way.

Preparation: Try to be well reset and in the best possible health before the surgery . Avoid aspirin and vitamin E for three to four weeks before surgery. Aspirin thins the blood and can cause bleeding after surgery; Vitamin E interferes with clotting and can also cause bleeding.

Healing: Up to 10 days, with residual sensitive lasting up to eight weeks.

Downside. Sometimes the implants shifts as it heals and appear crooked. Occasionally, implants can erode the bone of the chin, and you'll end up worse off than when you started, with a receding chin and damage to your own bone.

MINIMALLY INVASIVE PLASTIC SURGERY

Surgeons are discovering more use for minimally invasive techniques, including heart surgery, hysterectomies, and prostate cancer treatment. In plastic surgery, the term minimally invasive refers to the use of newer technologies to perform procedures that once required extensive surgery and recovery time. Today's plastic surgeons have a variety of tools and techniques available that make procedures such as face-lifts and eye lifts more accessible and affordable.

LASER SURGERY

Lasers can now quickly remove the outer layer of the skin. They tighten the skin, which leads to smoothening and clearing of brown spots and large pores. Lasers also can improve wrinkles, fine lines, forehead creasing, and crow's feet.

LASER SKIN RESURFACING/FACELIFT

Laser surgery can be used for skin resurfacing similar to the way chemical peeling and dermabrasions have been used in the past. When used for skin resurfacing, the result is equivalent to an intermediate depth chemical peel with less risk of complications. It is a particularly good technique in the eyelid, crow's feet, & forehead region. It also is quite effective in the cheek area. When the lines around the mouth are particularly deep, the laser peel may require a second treatment.

EYE LIFT SURGERY

Eye lifts are among the most commonly requested procedures by both men and women. Drooping of the eyelids can make a person look tired and/or older.

Lower eyelid bagging usually is the result of protrusion of the fat that naturally cushions the eye. This fat is held in place by a membrane that weakens as we age, allowing the fat to become visible as a "bag." Lower eyelid bags can be corrected in most cases without any external incisions or visible scars by using the laser.

The skin folds of the upper eyelid tend to increase and droop with age. This problem also can be corrected with a laser-assisted upper eyelid lift. Laser eyelift surgery involves little bleeding and bruising, and usually requires a short recovery period.

"LUNCHTIME" PROCEDURES

Today's plastic surgeons also provide options for correcting certain signs of aging, such as crow's feet, frown lines, and forehead wrinkles, in small steps, without surgery. Because these procedures are done over a period of short office visits, these mini-treatments are sometimes referred to as "lunchtime" procedures.

Color combination chart

Color combination chart
* You should choose your clothes & make up colors according to the time, occasion and environment.
* For example, an evening celebration requires brighter shades in clothes and cosmetics. You can be both experimental and both in your appearance.
* If you planned to change of look in your dress or make up, which could be sophisticated, rustic, ethnic, historic or of a different culture, you must have a full dress rehearsal in privacy before the main event. This exercise would give you more confidence on that particular day.
* Daytime make up requires very subtle cosmetic colors and a more tactful technique of blending for both close up and distant viewing. And for this, tube light is ideal to indicate make up colors and textures.
* For evening and photographic effect or bridal make-ups a brighter contrast of colors is needed due to artificial lighting. Your make up seat should have lighting according to the type of make up you are planning on.
