Bathing routines with naturals

You may have different types of bathing routines to suit the needs of your skin. The body loses a fair amount of natural oils after a bath. You constantly need to replenish them.

SAFFRON: Take half cup olive oil & half cup almond oil. Add to it a pinch of saffron. Mix them together and pour in a small pan with a handle. Take a large container with water and put it to boil. Hold the small pan over the container and steam it well, constantly stirring the mixture till the oils obtain a rich yellow color. Remove and cool. Pour the oils into a bottle and keep for further use.

Use this after a bath. Gently massage all over the body, neck downwards. Keep massaging till the skin completely absorbs the oils. It is very soothing, nourishing for the skin and the saffron gives a heady perfume.

SANDALWOOD OIL: Take a cupful of coconut oil, and one teaspoon of sandalwood oil. Mix well; pour into a jar to keep for use. Massage well into the body after a bath. Tones up the skin and gives a very luxurious and vitalizing feeling.

ROSEWATER AND GLYCERIN: Take half a cup of glycerin. Add to this 250 ml of rose water. Stir well and pour into a bottle to keep for use. Massage all over your body after a bath. This is one of the mildest and most nourishing of skin conditioners.

A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT

We all want to look young and beautiful. But how many of us really want to stay that way? Its said that, Rome wasn't built in a day, and if you want to look attractive, youthful and fresh, you should follow not just an efficient beauty regime, but a regular one also.

It is not always possible to maintain a regular beauty regime for the modern day people, unless it is a habitual visit to the nearest beauty saloon. Instead of spending money on artificial and expensive treatments, here is some simple schedule to glow yourself naturally. Before going to bed, allot a period of ten minutes for yourself. All it takes is just that little time to keep you looking young and glowing.

Care of the foot

When you return home from your work, soak your feet in a basin of warm water mixed with a handful of fragrant bath salts. After 10 minutes, wash your feet. A simple soap and water wash is also sufficient.

If you aren't feeling tired by this time, take a foot filer and scrub your heels. Using a toothpick clean the edges and grooves around your toe nails, to remove the dirt that gets accumulated. Apply cold cream or moisturizer before winding up. This makes the skin soft and prevents from running away at the sight of your feet.

Care of the Face /Scrub

Cleansing your face before going to bed is essential to take away the dirt that you might have got in the day. Walnut scrub is ideal for oily skin. You should scrub your face in circling motions and wash with cold water. To the people with dry or sensitive skin, they can use baby oil or wet cleansing pads, followed by a night cream.

Moisturizer

The right time to apply any treatment, especially moisturizer - be it for whitening the skin, under-eye cream or simple moisturizing. Moisturizer will revitalize your facial skin & work wonders on your skin, which had been exposed to all the dirt in the daytime. Its good to use it on your arms and neck also.

Care of Hair

While oil is not the elixir of life to hair, it is essential in keeping it well conditioned and supple. For better results, leave oil overnight and wash in the morning with shampoo.

Heat oil (olive oil, almond oil, or coconut oil) by placing it in a small container and swirling it in hot water. After the oil gets considerably hot, massage the scalp with your fingertips, in rotating motion, for at least 8 - 10 minutes. You can do this while soaking your feet in warm water.

Castor Oil

Applying pure castor oil to your eyebrows and lashes, will make them grow thick and long. It is much useful for the people who have scanty hair growth in their eyebrows. For tired or puffed eyes, place a cotton pad soaked in chilled rose water. Keeping thin slices of cucumber ready in the refrigerator beforehand is ideal.

Grated cucumber, by itself or mixed with carrot juice, can be spread under the eye, to reduce black circles and sagging skin.

Lip Guard

And finally, a smear of Vaseline on your lips, and you can sleep like a child and get up like an angel!
